Designer Evan Biddell goes green for Toronto fashion week

Evan Biddell's funky eco-friendly line was a hit amongst fashionistas in the front rows

Canadian fashion designer Evan Biddell – who rose to fame after his stint on “Project Runway Canada” – introduced funky new designs with sustainable cork fabrics during LG Fashion Week in Toronto on Tuesday night.

His collection included bold-shouldered frocks and brought back animal print with subtle touches on the runway at the Allstream Centre venue.

Metallics and geometric prints were also a hit in Biddell’s fall 2010/2011 collection.

At his after party at new hotspot, Bohmer restaurant on Ossington, the designer said it is becoming more common and easier to use cork with his designs.

And his futuristic creations clearly won over many female fans in the front rows, who announced they were eager to scoop up the eco-friendly pieces this autumn.
